veloraOS:~$ beta terms
Beta Programme Terms
Plain-language expectations for testing VeloraOS preview software. Version 2026-07-17.
1. Joining the programme
VeloraOS Services is a sole trader business based in Greater Manchester, UK, and operates the beta programme. You must be at least 18 years old, use an eligible VeloraOS subscriber account, and provide accurate information. Beta access and complimentary licences are personal to the recipient and may not be sold, transferred, or shared.
2. Preview software
Beta builds are unfinished and may contain faults, change without notice, lose compatibility, or require reinstalling. Do not rely on a preview build for safety-critical, business-critical, or irreplaceable work. Keep current backups and review known issues before installation.
3. Installation and your systems
You are responsible for deciding whether your hardware and operating environment are suitable. Follow published requirements and installation instructions. Do not include passwords, licence keys, private files, or other secrets in reports or screenshots.
4. Licences, payments, and access
Paid beta subscriptions are processed by Stripe and remain subject to the checkout terms shown at purchase. Digital access begins after Stripe confirms receipt of payment. Cancelling a monthly plan stops renewal and leaves access active until the monthly paid-through date. Cancelling an annual plan stops renewal and leaves access active until the annual paid-through date. VeloraOS Services does not normally provide a partial refund for the current paid period, but this does not limit cooling-off, faulty digital content, misdescription, or other rights provided by law. Renewal reminders are not currently sent, so customers should review the billing date shown in their account and Stripe customer portal. Complimentary beta licences may have an expiry date and can be revoked for misuse. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights.
5. Feedback
You keep ownership of material you create. By submitting a report or suggestion, you give VeloraOS permission to use, reproduce, adapt, and analyse that feedback for product development, support, security, and documentation. Only submit material you have the right to share.
6. Optional diagnostics
Optional diagnostics are a separate choice from accepting these terms. You can refuse or withdraw that choice from the beta workspace without losing programme access. Information you deliberately enter into a report is still processed to review and respond to that report.
7. Non-public material
Do not redistribute private builds, licence keys, unpublished release notes, or other materials clearly marked as private unless VeloraOS gives written permission. You may discuss your own experience without exposing security-sensitive or non-public technical information.
8. Suspension and programme changes
VeloraOS may pause access to protect users, systems, or the programme, or where these terms are materially breached. Builds, features, pricing, eligibility, and programme availability may change as development progresses.
9. Contact
Legal and privacy questions can be sent to legal@veloraos.co.uk. Technical and order support is available at support@veloraos.co.uk or through the signed-in helpdesk. Formal complaints can be sent to hjs@veloraos.co.uk.
Effective: 17 July 2026. These beta terms should be reviewed by qualified UK counsel before a broad commercial launch.
